April Open Garden at Galeru: Fruits Forever (SevGen)

This event was planned for March but heavy rain forced us to postpone this event until 19th April.

Following last month’s Club Night presentation by Terri Waller, we have an opportunity to tour the mature bushtucker orchard and gardens at Galeru, in Cooroy. Galeru is a community enterprise that is carrying on the work of Martha Shepherd and David Haviland to grow and celebrate bush food.

Come and see the bushtucker forest and see what you can grow in our climate. Bush plants include: Rainberries, Raincherries, Blue Almonds, Davidson Plums, White Aspen, Cinnamon Myrtle, Illawarra Plums, Native Tamarind, Native Gingers and much more

Galeru has been opened up especially for Permaculture Noosa and is not normally open to the public.

What to Expect

A 90 minute tour with some samples of local bush tucker produce after the tour.

Sturdy walking shoes are a must and bring some water with you, as this is a large site and there will be some walking.

Minimum 20 people, maximum 35 people. Cost $15.00
