Volunteers Coordinator Wanted
Permaculture Noosa is seeking a motivated, community-spirited Volunteers Coordinator to support our club as we grow and increase our influence across the Sunshine Coast region.
We’re seeking a person with happy-to-do attitude and the ability to implement a recruitment, induction and management system for our club’s volunteers.
This role requires a person with experience or someone willing to self-educate, research and then implement a system to run a sustainable, successful volunteer program for the club. At the same time, you will be working side by side with a dedicated and enthusiastic committee, and community garden leadership group, who will support and encourage you in this position.
You will be working with new and existing volunteers, to implement induction and training programs in our community permaculture garden in Cooroy. It would be helpful if you have an understanding of permaculture principals, or a willingness to learn.
Permaculture Noosa has a proud 25 year history in our region, with a members of all ages. We run solely on volunteers and this position is no different. We estimate the role would require a commitment of at least 5 hours per week. In exchange you will be part of a motivated team, aiming for the best outcomes in the local community around education and participation for sustainable, healthy, chemical-free food production using permaculture principals.
If this sounds like you, we would love to chat to you. Please send your details, or email further questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Permaculture Noosa is registered with Centrelink for New Start participants – over 55’s who are volunteering 15 hours of their time per week (this does not have to be all with one organisation).
Waste Warriors Wanted
We are looking for volunteers interested in training to become Waste Warriors for either or both the Cooroy Fusion Festival (Saturday 11 May) and the Permaculture Noosa Festival (Sunday 9 June). These Waste Warriors will assist people at the festivals to put their rubbish in the correct bins – general waste, recycling or compostable waste. A few hours of your time will help the planet (and especially Cooroy)!
