If you want anything done, give it to a QCWA woman! They are dynamic, they are driven, and they are so generous! Recently I visited the Tewantin branch for their monthly meeting, heard all about their projects, their community engagement, the part they play in the strategic plan for local schools and even learnt about the Japanese Christmas Dinner tradition (google it, it is interesting!). This group is integral in society, they so freely give time and money and support women in many different avenues of life, the most important being the loving and safe community they provide. I would like to take this opportunity to Thank the Tewantin Branch of QCWA for their kind donation to Permaculture Noosa. This goes far beyond money, deep into our hearts and from there we can share that same love and support with our local community.
When I was there I saw their Creed for the first time, and I thought I would share it with you all;
I would be true, for there are those who trust me;
I would be pure, for there are those who care;
I would be strong, for there is much to suffer;
I would be brave, for there is much to dare;
I would be friend to all – the foe – the friendless;
I would be giving and forget the gift;
I would be humble for I know my weakness;
I would look up – and laugh – and love – and lift.
