Dear Visionaries,

Let’s imagine where we would like to be on our permaculture journey in a year from now. We will have planted our seedlings from the seeds and we saved from this year’s crop. We will have chopped and dropped, and we will be harvesting worm castings from our new Dr Sandra worm farms and feeding our soil.  The Pavilion will be finished, and we will be sharing permaculture with the wide community. People will come and pick from the garden and prepare food with our kitchen facilities. They can take home seedlings and information to start their own gardens.

All looks wonderful, but I feel there may be an urgency before then. I think there will be hikes in food prices from the droughts in Europe and China. Permaculture Noosa may play an important part to bring peace of mind to the community. I also think that after this next year of rain, we will be looking forward to drought predictions and the El Niño cycle, which will again put pressure on our food security.

Our club is growing quickly. I believe many are looking forward to a brighter future while preparing for otherwise. Learning permaculture is a great step forward on both fronts. It is a time for action. Please keep sharing permaculture and let’s get this pavilion built! Please purchase raffle tickets and come to the ‘The Regeneration’ movie on September 30th.

Growing together,

Tom
