Did anyone watch Gardening Australia on Friday 20th June?

There was a section about gall wasp control, and it was brilliant! It outlined a new method of control that means you don’t have to hack off and destroy the whole stem of your tree.

The link below is well worth a watch and describes how to use your new best friend…. the humble potato peeler. As well as the need for a shift in community engagement towards controlling gall wasps. So let us spread the word and see if we can fight back against these destructive little insects and keep our trees happy.

I only wish I had seen it earlier before hacking my Meyer lemon tree to bits a few weeks ago, poor thing now looks more like a rescue case rather than a thriving giving tree!
