Sunday June 11, 2 – 5pm
Our hosts Caroline and Giles Whittle Herbert.
47 Killawarra Rd, Lake MacDonald
Caroline and Giles have been on their property for 4 and a half years. The property was originally designed and developed 30 years ago by well known permaculture designer and teacher, Geoff Lawton. It has had several subsequent owners.
Caroline will show us Geoff’s original drawings and we’ll be having the opportunity to view some of the infrastructure he developed. Caroline will then walk us through the property to show us what she’s been doing to make the place work for her and her family.
Caroline describes herself as very much a weekend warrior and says her aim is to get better at producing food for the family while working on revegetation, restoring and protecting the natural environment, flora and fauna.
We’ll finish the afternoon with soup and bread.
