Madagascar Pods are large and cream in colour. Once peeled they reveal STUNNING, large, purple flecked beans. The vine grows as vigorously as a ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ fairytale vine, and loves the Sunshine Coast climate.
The beans are wonderful in stews, soups, slow cookers etc etc …… But when I harvest a set of Madagascar beans I like to make ‘Dee’s Madagascar Bean Hummus’.
At our Thursday night meeting on the 21st March, Dee will demonstrate making Madagascar Bean Hummus, and later it will be served at supper.
