Join us at Cooroy Community Permaculture Gardens as we start the day at 9am, seed saving, chatting, wandering the gardens, seed sales and general catch ups! At 10:30am we will be treated to a talk with local man Aaron Edwards who is going to share his knowledge of Biochar with us! Aaron is in the process of setting up a local biochar business so that this amazing resource can be made available to the public and welcomed into gardens all over the coast! Biochar is a wonderful product made by burning material (generally wood) in the absence of oxygen, also known as pyrolysis. It plays a huge role in carbon sequestration! Sounds interesting, right?

Also remember to bring any excess harvest, produce, homemade goodies etc that you would like to add to the Harvest Swap table. The swap will take place after the talk, at about 11.30am with any leftovers on the table open to anyone… more of an abundance table 🙂

Looking forward to seeing you on the 16th of May at Cooroy Community Permaculture Gardens in Emerald Street from 9am!
