At our AGM in October 2019, members voted to adopt a new membership structure to come into effect from August 1 2020. These changes would have seen the introduction of new volunteer and standard membership categories, and would have enabled our volunteers to be rewarded for service with a discounted membership fee. This would also have resulted in an increase to our standard membership fees.
Due to Covid 19 and the fact that many of our usual monthly activities were put on hold, the committee agreed that these changes to membership should be postponed for another year.
Covid 19 unfortunately hasn’t gone away, and while we currently run our monthly Club Night and Club Day, there are still many member benefits that we are not able to bring back just yet. As a result, at our most recent committee meeting, we again voted to postpone these changes until August 1 2022 and retain our current low fees for the next 12 months.
The committee is dedicated to making Permaculture Noosa a vibrant organisation offering members advice, education and support no matter what stage of the Permaculture journey they are on. We thank all our members for their ongoing support, and we are confident that 2021/22 will see really positive developments as our Pavilion at the community gardens starts to take shape.
