Irrigation Day!

Although unbelievably hot, and competing with Caroline’s Living Bee, it was wonderful to see so many people answer our call for assistance and turn up to help. We had 12 people (plus one little helper) and got all the irrigation pipe installed. Unfortunately we were short on 4 elbow fittings, so only 4 of the 8 taps were installed. And we have yet to connect the pipe to the tank. We are hoping to get this completed during the week, or at the very latest next Sunday, so there are no holes in the ground for our Christmas party. Also, we gave the gardens a really thorough watering by hand, but no time for anything else.
Sue Anderson will be back from next Sunday, so propagation can start again.
Although everyone has worked extremely hard over the past week, it would be good to see as many of the Leadership Group at the gardens on Sunday morning, to get the irrigation complete. And from the following week, we will run a skeleton roster over Christmas – New Year to keep the gardens watered.
