The Bendigo Bank Community Pavilion was the perfect venue to hire for 68 people to gather and celebrate the launch of Frank Wilkie’s Mayoral election campaign. On the steamy Saturday afternoon, guests were grateful for the shade under the stunning pavilion, seating and a delicious zero-waste charcuterie board prepared by volunteers. Local musician Jo Hendrie sang and played the acoustic guitar while guests mingled.
Frank addressed the group outlining his vision for Noosa shire including putting residents and the environment first and reducing waste to landfill. The Cooroy Community Garden was looking its absolute best; lush green, productive gardens with gorgeous chickens roaming peacefully amongst the crops. The gardens and the management of the pavilion are a credit to Permaculture Noosa and everyone who works as custodians of this valuable community venue. Many thanks to Esther, Bruce and Sandra for assisting with the booking.
