QLD Garden Expo “Giant Kitchen Garden” Setup Helpers Wanted

For many years, Permaculture Noosa and Yandina Community Gardens have been involved in creating the ‘Giant Kitchen Garden’ display garden at the QLD Garden Expo.
The display garden is designed and constructed by volunteers. It is all about home production, minimising food footprints, Permaculture and organic food production. This year’s theme will be the origins of our food plants. Our involvement with the QLD Garden Expo has been very fruitful in helping our groups to promote Permaculture to the wider community.

This year’s expo will be held on 7-8-9 July at the Nambour Showgrounds. We are seeking volunteers to help with display garden setup from Sunday 2nd to Thursday 6th July. Helpers will do a range of tasks including construction, bed filling, plant layout, spreading mulch and sign making. Strong people especially required for construction on Sunday 2nd.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a project that inspires the public to grow food and will hopefully spark some interest in Permaculture. If you would like to be part of creating this year’s garden masterpiece, please contact Penny Foster on 0408 744 702 or click on this link to email her: penfoster’s_email_address to discuss how/when you can be involved.
