Mary Valley “Summer School” bookings now open!
Mary Valley Country Harvest Co-operative is pleased to advise that its annual “Summer School” will be held on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th May! Coming at the end of the month-long celebration of food and farmers in the Gympie region – GourMAY – the workshops and presentations confirm the importance of small-scale family farms for the the future. (Bookings can be made on our website – go to the emarket, payment by direct deposit or Paypal – http://www.maryvalleycountryharvest.com/e-market/ Here’s the highlights: First day (Monday) – 8 workshops including soil health, plant production, keeping the farmer healthy, tools and equipment, livestock and landscape management. Second day (Tuesday) – a whole day workshop. Develop a management plan and quality assurance procedures specific to your farm. You will put together a draft plan specifically for your property, that can be used for applying for accreditation. Harvest Dinner (Monday evening) – coordinated by Chris White from Hungry Feel Eating House, Buderim.
