Permaculture Noosa Monthly Meeting for 17th August 2017
August 17 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PMgold coin donation for non-members
President Tim Peek has invited two other speakers with some interesting topics to present to us, including Sabrina Chakori of the Brisbane Tool Library who will explain to us how this innovative and waste-busting concept works:
The main goal is to go beyond the material consumption of the current linear model of “take, make and dispose”. Therefore, the project is based on reusing, repairing, recycling and sharing tools and skills.
As no-profit social enterprise we aim to:
- Enhance environmental sustainability, decreasing material consumption
- Help building resilient neighbourhoods
- Employ disadvantaged people & create social stability
- Move toward a new sharing and circular economy”
As always, you will leave the meeting better informed than you were at the beginning!
Permaculture Noosa monthly meetings are usually held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Doors open at 5.30pm when meals will be available before the meeting. A market takes place where we share surplus home grown produce and plants by giving, exchanging or selling. Entry is a gold coin donation for non-members. The meeting begins at 6.30pm and the night is complete with a “bring a plate” shared supper at 8pm. All welcome.
