Dee is passionate about growing edible food
– Come along to see how easy it is!!! –
Dee and Ian Humphreys had the Garden of Eatin’ in Kin Kin – 10 acres which they planted out as edible gardens, and taught others how to do the same.
In 2015 Dee and Ian moved to a 592 sqm property in Noosa and planted an edible garden which included raised garden beds, worm farms, and over 50 fruiters/fruit trees.
In October 2017 Dee and Ian moved up the street to a 724 sqm Noosa property that was covered in palms and ornamentals. They removed the palm/ornamental gardens in November and began planting edible gardens in December. Dee has been picking their salads, teas and green smoothies from the gardens ever since. They have also planted well over 40 fruiters/fruit trees (more than 20 varieties), and plan to be eating numerous fruits from the gardens by the end of this year.
Come along to see what sort of tropical greens and fruit trees will easily grow at your place, and make eating from your own garden possible. (The verge is also an edible garden now – OOOOPS!)
This Thursday night at the Permaculture Noosa Meeting, Dee will do a 10 minute slideshow to show the gardens ‘before and after’ progress.
Look forward to seeing you there!
